We’ve revitalized, extended and maintained the image of this adored Indian cuisine brand since 2014.

After she moved to the US in 1985, Sukhi Singh began cooking in a rented kitchen and selling products at local farmer’s markets in the Bay Area. People loved the food, the whole family started pitching in, and Sukhi’s Indian Cuisine was born. The product lines grew from frozen meals to sauces and it came in their distinct gold packaging. The brand eventually needed a stronger look though, more product differentiation and clearer messaging.

When Sukhi’s asked The Engine Room to take on this task, we were delighted. It was an excellent challenge to retain their memorable logotype, along with their signature color, but bring a needed professional look into the brand. We worked closely with Sukhi’s — and still do — to modernize it all, inject more octane into the palette and imagery, and craft a messaging hierarchy that communicates quickly with customers.
