06.10.10 : TER goes Público
by Dave
One of the more solid burritos in the City, in our opinion, is found at the unusual and slightly uncomfortable parking lot location of 9th and Brannan. We have no clue what the BB&B/Trader Joe’s/Nordstrom Rack shopping center is even called, but dwarfed within it is the quick-serve Público Urban Taqueria and they can seriously throw down. So we hopped on the bikes today and rode over there for a team-building burrito. It was well worth the ride on this gorgeous day here in SF. Público also has going for it a good recycling and compost system along with a claim of sourcing humanely-raised poultry, pork and beef. We have yet to look into the exact meat sources, so perhaps we’ll have to get back to you on that.
Regardless, we’ll give it 4 stars out of 5 on taste, distribution of filling, and apparent cleanliness. If you’re in the area, we suggest you give it a whirl. Though, a better experience will be had if you grab your burrito and hightail it to a more tranquil environment.
