07.31.10 : An evening at Heirloom

Last night, we went to Heirloom Cafe for the first time. http://www.heirloom-sf.com. It’s a fairly new restaurant here in San Francisco and we were very impressed. The menu is extraordinarily simple, but nothing was missed. We like simple. And this was simple done very well. The food is responsibly sourced with many of our favorite artisanal products on the menu. The ambiance is similar to that of Bar Tartine but the attitude of the place seemed more Delfina-esque. Casual service but very skilled and knowledgable. A rustic elegance it had… and the lighting was dialed. There’s a cheeseburger there and watch out for it. It’ll probably be one of the more exquisite you’ll have.
